Auto Repair Warranty in Pasadena

A big repair bill shouldn't push you into a car payment you don't want. An auto repair warranty helps pay for covered breakdowns so you can fix the vehicle you have. We walk you through the plans and tell you straight if one doesn't fit.

How an Auto Repair Warranty Works

An auto repair warranty is a vehicle service contract for parts that wear out. You pay for it in full or month by month. If a covered part fails down the road, the plan provider pays the shop for the fix, and you pay the deductible you chose. It does not handle wrecks. It is made for breakdowns.

Most vehicles stay worth fixing much longer than owners expect. A bad AC compressor or water pump calls for a repair, not a new car. This kind of plan keeps those bills from throwing off your budget. If your car is close to the end and a plan would cost more than it could return, we will tell you on the call.

What We Cover on the Call

A look at your vehicle
We ask for the year, make, model and mileage, plus any repairs you've had lately. That tells us which plans will even write coverage on your car.
Plans side by side
We line up the options so you can see the coverage levels next to each other. Some cover the engine and transmission only. Others reach into AC, electrical, steering and more.
The exclusions, in plain words
Every plan leaves things out. Brake pads, tires, wipers and oil changes are usually not covered. We point out the gaps while you're still deciding, not after a shop tells you.
How a claim works
We explain who your repair shop calls, what the shop needs to show and what you pay at pickup. No guessing when the car is already on a lift.
Payment choices
We offer flexible payment options, so you can pick monthly payments that fit what you spend now.

Signs a Repair Warranty Makes Sense

  • Your factory warranty is ending

Once the original coverage runs out, every repair comes out of your pocket. That's a good time to look at a plan, ahead of the next breakdown.

  • The mileage keeps climbing

Past about 80,000 miles, parts like alternators, water pumps and AC compressors start to give out. A plan spreads that risk into a steady payment.

  • One repair would empty your savings

If a transmission bill would mean a credit card or a loan, a fixed monthly cost is easier to plan around.

  • You want to keep the car

It's paid off and runs well. You'd rather fix it than take on a new car note. That's exactly who a repair plan is for.

  • The heat is hard on your car

Long Pasadena summers wear on cooling systems, batteries and AC parts. Coverage that includes those systems can save you a rough August.

How It Goes, Start to Finish

  1. 1

    You call us

We talk through your car and what worries you most. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.

  2. 2

    We compare the plans

We show you the plans your vehicle qualifies for, what each covers and what each leaves out. You can do this by phone, by video or at our office.

  3. 3

    You pick, or you don't

If a plan fits, we set it up and go over the paperwork with you. If none make sense for your car, we tell you why and you owe nothing.

  4. 4

    When something breaks

You take the car to the shop, and the shop contacts the plan provider before work starts. Covered repairs get paid, and you cover your deductible and anything outside the plan.

What Changes the Price

A repair plan has no one set price. It comes down to your vehicle and the amount of coverage you choose. On the call we give you actual numbers for your car, and you can weigh them without any pressure to decide right away.

Odometer and age
More miles and more years bring parts closer to failing, which raises the plan price. Past a certain point, some providers will no longer cover a car.
What you drive
Some vehicles have costlier parts or tougher repairs. Covering a V8 truck usually costs more than covering a small four-cylinder car.
How much is covered
Plans limited to the powertrain cost less. Adding AC, electrical and steering raises the price but covers more of the parts that usually fail.
Deductible and length
Choosing a higher deductible brings your payment down. A longer term costs more overall but protects you for more years and miles.

Auto Repair Warranty Questions

Something not covered here? (832) 412-3559

Will a plan pay for a problem my car already has?

No. Repair plans don't cover problems that exist when coverage starts. Many plans also have a short waiting period ahead of the first paid claim. If your car needs work now, get it fixed first, then we can look at coverage.

Do I have to go to a certain shop?

It depends on the plan. A lot of them let you pick the shop you already trust. Others send you to a set list of repair shops. We check that detail on every plan we show you, so you know where your car can go.

Is my high-mileage car too old for this?

Not always. Plenty of plans cover cars well past 100,000 miles. If yours is past what most plans accept, or the cost wouldn't be worth it, we'll tell you plainly.

What if replacing the car makes more sense?

Sometimes it does. If the car has several big problems coming, or the plan would cost close to what the car is worth, a plan isn't a good buy. We'd rather say that than sell you something that won't pay off.

How is this different from your other plans?

An auto repair warranty focuses on paying for parts that break on the car you own. Our Car Extended Warranty picks up where factory coverage ends, and our Auto Protection Warranty adds broader coverage. Some plans also include roadside assistance. We'll help you sort out which fits your car and budget.
